BENEFITS OF ACCREDITATION
Accreditation is the entry point to the Practice Incentives Program (PIP). Once Practices have maintained accreditation they are able to benefit form a variety of incentives such as IMT, Afterhours, Practice Nurse incentive etc.

Accreditation of General Practice is an ongoing process which encourages practices to maintain and improve their performance against a set of criteria. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) set the standards for General Practice.

Each organisation provides very helpful resources such as document templates, policy and procedure manual and templates etc to assist practices in achieving the accreditation standards:

If required the Division can arrange a Practice Consultant to visit your practice to assist you with Accreditation preparation.
