Queensland Strategy for Chronic Disease 2005-2015 - Focus for Initial Action:

  • Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) - Coronary Heart Disease (CHD), Heart Failure and Stroke
  • Diabetes - Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) - Renal Disease
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asthma

The frameworks identify a number of opportunities where Australia might most usefully invest to reduce the impact of these chronic diseases.
